About Fathers Who Fight
Our Mission
Fathers Who Fight is a public information resource dedicated to government accountability in the Kalamazoo County Family Court and Friend of the Court system. We exist because fathers in this county are being systematically denied their constitutional rights - and the system is designed to prevent them from fighting back.
Our mission is simple: arm fathers with facts, statistics, and knowledge of their rights so they can hold the system accountable. Every claim on this site is sourced from official government reports, peer-reviewed research, public court records, or clearly identified commentary on matters of public concern.
This is a free resource. We do not charge for access. We do not provide legal advice. We provide the truth.

The Friend of the Court is a government agency. The judges and referees discussed on this site are public officials acting in their official capacity. Commentary on the performance of government agencies and public officials is among the most strongly protected forms of speech under the First Amendment.
Under New York Times Co. v. All factual claims on this site are sourced and documented. All opinions are clearly identified as such.
This website is further protected under Michigan's Uniform Public Expression Protection Act (Public Act 52 of 2025), Michigan's anti-SLAPP (Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation) statute. This law protects citizens from retaliatory lawsuits filed to silence criticism of public officials and government agencies. Under this law:
- •Any lawsuit filed to suppress the protected speech on this site is subject to expedited dismissal
- •The burden of proof shifts to the party bringing the lawsuit
- •Discovery is stayed during expedited judicial review
- •Attorney fees and costs may be awarded to the defendant if a SLAPP suit is dismissed

Our Standards
Accuracy: Every factual claim is sourced. We cite official government reports, peer-reviewed research, and public records. If we make an error, we correct it promptly and transparently.
Fairness: We discuss public officials in their capacity as public servants, based on their public record. We do not engage in personal attacks, threats, or harassment.
Transparency: Our sources are linked throughout the site. Anyone can verify our claims by following the citations to the original documents.
Opinion vs. Fact: Where we express opinion or commentary, it is clearly identified as such. We distinguish between documented facts and our analysis or interpretation of those facts.
